UART Events Example

(See the README.md file in the upper level 'examples' directory for more information about examples.)

This example shows how to use the UART driver to handle special UART events. It also reads data from UART0 directly, and echoes it back to the monitoring console.

How to use example

Hardware Required

The example can be used with any ESP32 development board connected to a computer with a USB cable.

Configure the project

idf.py menuconfig

or

idf.py menuconfig
  • Set serial port under Serial Flasher Options.

Build and Flash

Build the project and flash it to the board, then run monitor tool to view serial output:

idf.py -p PORT flash monitor

or

idf.py -p PORT flash monitor

(To exit the serial monitor, type Ctrl-].)
